All individuals residing in the Seaford School District are entitled to a Seaford Public Library card. To obtain a card, residents must show two valid forms of identification. Library cardholders are required to verify their residency every three years by presenting one form of identification. Acceptable identification is defined as follows:
- A valid driver’s license or other identification with a photo and a current residential address; and
- A utility bill, credit card bill, current car registration, insurance card, property tax bill, mortgage statement, bank statement, typed lease, a landlord’s notarized letter, or school identification.
If a person is employed or rents or owns a business in the Seaford School District, but resides outside of the school district boundaries, he/she may be issued a Seaford Public Library card with an expiration date of one year. The card may be renewed after one year with verification of continued employment.
Valid proofs of employment in the Seaford School District include a pay stub, business letterhead, or a letter signed by the employer.
Valid proofs of owning or renting a business in the Seaford School District include a current lease, tax bill, or a rent receipt.
