Registration and Seasons
We offer three sessions of storytime at the Seaford Public Library: Fall, Spring, and Summer.
Registration for our Fall session begins in September. Classes run from the first week of October and end the first week of December. Registration for our Spring session begins in January. Classes run from the first week in February and end the last week in March. Our Summer session is all ages and no registration required.
The first day of registration is for Seaford school district residents ONLY. Nonresidents may register the next day. Registration for our storytimes are IN-PERSON ONLY. A library card and birth certificate (or picture of) is required.
SPRING 2026 STORYTIMES
Registration for Seaford school district residents begins Thursday, January 22nd at 10AM IN-PERSON ONLY! The first day of registration is for Seaford school district residents only. Non-residents may sign-up on Friday, January 23rd at 10AM if space is available.

Baby & Me: Birth-18 months with caregiver (No siblings please)
Mondays 10:15-10:45AM: February 9th, February 23rd, March 9th and March 23rd
Babies born on or after August 5th, 2024
Session begins Monday, February 9th and ends Monday, March 23rd
Mother Goose: 18-24 months with caregiver
Tuesdays 10:15-10:45AM: February 10th, February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th, March 24th and March 31st
Child’s birthday must fall between February 5th, 2024 and August 5th 2024
Session begins Tuesday, February 10th and ends Tuesday, March 31st
Tiny Tot: 2-3 years old with caregiver
Fridays 11:00-11:30AM: February 6th, February 13th, February 27th, March 6th, March 13th, March 20th and March 27th
Child’s birthday must fall between February 5th, 2023 and February 5th, 2024
Session begins Friday, February 6th and ends Friday, March 27th
Storyhour: 3-5 years old, Child will attend independently, ADULT MUST REMAIN IN BUILDING!
Thursdays 1:30-2:15PM: February 5th, February 12th, February 26th, March 5th, March 12th, March 19th and March 26th
Child’s birthday must fall between February 5th, 2021 and February 5th, 2023
Session begins Thursday, February 5th and ends Thursday, March 26th
Age Groups
We break our storytimes down into four age groups:
BABY & ME (Birth-18 months with adult, no siblings please)
This is a half an hour class that focuses on the interaction between parent/caregiver and child. Caregivers will learn a variety of bounces, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement to use at home to develop baby’s early literacy skills. We also include a short group book and save the last few minutes of class for open play.
MOTHER GOOSE (18 months-24 months with adult)
This 30 minute program is designed to introduce your child to a variety of books and to aid your child in adjusting to group listening and participation. Stories will be enhanced by singing, dancing, a short movie and a craft.
TINY TOT (2-3 years with adult)
This 30 minute program is designed to introduce your child to a variety of books and to aid your child in adjusting to group listening and participation. Stories will be enhanced by singing, dancing, a short movie and a craft.
STORYHOUR (3-5 years child attends independently, adult must remain in building)
Storyhour is a 45 minute program that promotes early literacy, encourage social development, and expands your child’s attention span. This program features books, music, dancing, fingerplays, a short movie, and a craft.
